The Lord Of Fire

The Lord Of Fire is going to destroy Earth and all the 6 billion people. Tom the Japanese boy is born to fight The Lords Of Pain, his sensei that helped him all his life, and was like a father to him is actually a traitor and his worst enemy.

The Dragon, The Lord Of Fire.

And all the fighting moves Tom knows he learned from his sensei, No change he's going to survive the final fight between Him and The Dragon.
If he loses, Earth and all the people he loves is doomed.

Tom

Tom is a Japanese boy and lives alone with his mother. Like most other Japanese boys he has brown hair.
Tom is only 16 years old and has already beaten four out of the five lords of pain.
One of the five lords of pain called The lord of Typhoon gave him a massive scar in his face. A completely twisted face, but every time Tom looks in the mirror it reminds him why he wanna fight and what he is fighting for. One of his ribs broke too during that duel, so sometimes his chest hurts. Tom likes Halloween so the scars kind of fits.

Are the characters credible?

I think the characters are credible, but mostly in the way the behave because Tom is a teenager and like most teenagers tries to be the grownup. And Toms mother is carrying and cares about Tom, and just want him to be happy and live his life.
But in the real world demons doesn't exist so thats not that credible.

What Point is the book written?

Its written from omniscient point of view. The storyteller can see Tom's thoughts and follows him around.

Problem

Tom runs into a lot of problems. His mother and his Great-aunt Akiko is always mad at each other, and Tom and his cousin Mai always have to split them before they harm each other. And the biggest problem is that the Demons are going to destroy the world.

Can I relate?

Yes I can relate but only to do things you dont want to, but you're forced to do it. But the things I cant relate to is the lords of pain, no one in the real world has ever seen a demon.

If I could change anything..

I would probably change Great-aunt Akiko's and Tom's mothers relationship, so they dont hate each other. I think thats annoying to read a whole page of them arguing.

Paragraph (Page 23)

He saw that he didn't need to beat Dragon just because he wanted to get back at him. He needed to beat Dragon because the world was counting on him to do so. All these people on the heath doing their everyday things, living their everyday lives, was counting on him. Tom was their knight in shining armor, their only hope, even if they had no way of knowing it. Without him they were doomed.

Why do I like this paragraph?

I like it because it says what he stands for and what his goal is. It also says what he has to do and I think its a great thing to know what he is thinking about doing and then run into problems, it makes it much more entertaining, and harder to reach his goals. And it also says why the people on Earth cant live without him.

Do I like this book?

The book reminds me of the book/movie Avatar, so its good for smaller children or teenagers who loves unnatural things, adventure and Magic. I'll give it three stars because i think its a good book, but I think its a little boring at the start where the small family is arguing with the other half of the family.
